We have to love everyone, which is what Jesus calls us to do.. so we would constantly “give ground”. Jesus told us to hold our ground – in other words, to say what we believe, to spread the gospel, but do it lovingly. ~Pastor Rick McGee
Yes, we are to love all and judge none. But, we are to judge what is right or wrong according to the Word of God.. The Bible. As Christians, we are not to “give ground” (let our views be changed by current culture). We are to hold our ground where our biblical writings are concerned, and we don’t have to keep quiet about it out of fear of “intolerance”, but we are to speak up in love.
Don’t let the Word of God be watered down, and sweetened so much that It doesn’t pierce the soul. Listen to what It is really saying. It is meant to shed light to our sin, to convict us, and to teach us how to overcome.
This Sunday Take-Home is from March 6, 2016.
